SBR-1502

SBR-1502 Definition

SBR-1502 rubber is not crystalline like natural rubber and is therefore weak unless reinforced with soot or other materials. Even then it is weaker than natural rubber. Its volcanic properties are good and its aging characteristics are satisfactory. Over 2% of SBR produced is used in tire treads, 2% in mechanical parts and about 2% in leachate. Other Names: Buna S, Ameripol Synpol, Europrene, kralex, polysar, plioflex, Copo Carbomix, Nipol, Nipol, Solprene TB

Monomer: Styrene & Butadiene (Styrene & Butadiene)
Solvent: Dimethylformamide or DMF (Dimethylformamide)
Density: 0.5–0.3 g / cm3 (varies depending on the percentage of styrene)
Melting temperature (Tm): Does not melt in cooked state.
Glass Transfer Temperature (Tg): -0.5 ° C (Depending on the percentage of styrene)
Hardness (Shore A): 1 to 2
Polar or non-polar status: non-polar

Ignition features (easy identification method)

  • It burns in the flame and continues burning after removal of the flame.
  • The yellow flame is orange-bodied and sounds a little cedar.
  • White smoke is grayish gray with carbon particles.
  • The SBS does not leak into the flame.
  • SBR smells of urban gas.

History and production

The copolymer (copolymer) is called styrene and butadiene having more than 2% butadiene SBR. Typical monomers range from 5% to 5% butadiene to 5% to 5% styrene and if the styrene is above 5% the product is highly plastic It is used in the preparation of latex paints (latex latex).

This polymer is defined as a high-performance conventional polymer and is the most widely used rubber in the world due to its inexpensive and abundant production raw materials and therefore the highest production volume. In the rubber industry.

Styrene butadiene rubber was originally developed in Germany before World War II but was widely used during World War II to replace natural rubber captured by East Asia (Japan) in the US and Germany.

The mechanical properties of SBR are lower than that of NR and as such are not affected by crystalline stretching and are therefore weak unless reinforced with soot or other materials that are even weaker than natural rubber.

Iran is a big producer of SBR-1502 and Huei Jie Oil has a full active production line of this Product.

Polymerization

Butadiene styrene rubber (SBR) is divided into three main categories in terms of production and polymerization

Emulsion method

In this method, the polymerization is carried out by free radicals, which is done in both hot and cold conditions. Products obtained from the cold method in the presence of oil or in the presence of oil-soot, high molecular weight, high molecular mass distribution, processability Difficult (Series 1 (Type 1500)).

The product obtained by the hot method is also highly branched and has a widespread molecular mass, good processability, and a higher% V-vinyl content (Series 1000 (Type 1000))

Cooking methods

It is mainly by sulfur volcanization. The cooking speed in the SBR is lower than the NR, so an accelerator is used to increase the cooking speed.

Advantages

It is very cheap, water resistant, acid and alcohol resistant

Disadvantages

Low resistance to ozone Low resistance to flame and ignition, Very difficult processability, Low resistance to gasoline and Low resistance to hydrocarbon solvents

Properties

SBR-1502 has excellent erosion resistance and with increasing cis and vinyl butadiene the erosion resistance increases again, abrasion resistance, good resistance, low temperature flexibility, cracking resistance, heat resistance and corrosion resistance. Equal to impact.
